The last weekend of summer before the Fall equinox will be a muggy one. Highs will reach the mid-80s today under mostly cloudy skies. A few showers are possible this afternoon. Saturday wil be the best day to get those outdoor activities in. Isolated rain chances will hang around, but most will be able to dodge. Sunday begins a pattern of pulses that will bring more scattered shower and storm chances. Highs will remain near to slightly above average into the early part of next week. A strong cold front pushes into the region late Wednesday, bringing drier and cooler air. Overnight lows will fall to the 50s with daytime highs reaching the mid 70s.
